A 20-foot-wide sinkhole in the right land of eastbound I-90 in Issaquah has been temporarily filled after a five-hour closure Friday.
Washington State Department of Transportation crews re-opened all eastbound lanes just after 4:15 p.m. Traffic then recovered from a four-mile backup.
The Washington State Department of Transportation says the small sinkhole was discovered near State Route 900 just before noon.
I-90 didn’t need any more delays than it already has through Ellensburg. Major work is currently underway in both directions of I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass. Lane closures are going on 24 hours a day as crews repave and rebuild the roadway.
