Sherman, Thomas on Clayton's midseason All-Pro team
Richard Sherman was the only starting defensive back on the Seahawks to not make the Pro Bowl in 2011 despite a strong rookie season.

Sherman wasn't going to go unnoticed in his second season – whether he floundered or played well. He's done the latter. The result is a spot on John Clayton's midseason All-Pro team, where Sherman joins teammate Earl Thomas. They were the only two Seahawks on the list.
"The Seahawks had three defensive backs make the Pro Bowl last year, and Sherman has emerged as one of the best corners in the game," Clayton writes in a related item.
Sherman has three interceptions and 11 passes defended this season. His sideline interception against Arizona in Week 1 ranks among the most impressive plays of the season. Sherman has been penalized just twice, a low number considering how physical he gets with receivers. He hasn't drawn a flag since incurring two pass interference penalties in Week 1.
Thomas was a Pro Bowl starter last season. He has two interceptions. Drops have cost him several more.
