We got caught, no biggie. The fact that he seems to not care that 2 of his players are for all intents and purposes cheaters, speaks volumes.

He has to show that he still is in control of his locker room, that he doesn't approve of the cheating, and show that he is unafraid to play his backups. All at the same time. Give him some slack, it's just an emotional Monday. The sky isn't falling yet, chicken little.

it's not that difficult. if we can't even beat the dolphins though with sherman and browner then this team has much bigger problems than them being gone for four games.

Hey 'coach', why are you still putting Trufant on the field in the first place? Haven't you noticed it was him who allowed two big catches for over 40 yards total on the Dolphins last drive?

Despite the universally praised drafts and acquisitions. I maintain Schneider deserves more credit than Carroll for the improvements in personnel - A LOT more credit. The offense still SUCKS, and has sucked since the day Pete took over. I know, I know, Wilson is AWESOME. Huh. So we have the league's 3rd best rusher on a team with the 8th best rushing numbers, a great QB, and an offense that SUCKS. Interesting.

My fellow PNWers and Seahawks fans, our team has many problems that are preventing it from growing out of mediocrity. Some of the problems are fixable this season while others aren’t. These problems as I see it are simple and easy to put a finger on; Tim Ruskell, the players, the coaches and their play calling, and the media. I put Ruskell up at the top because he was the mastermind that decimated this team through his countless bad decisions in FA and the draft. He took a playoff caliber team and turned it into a joke, filling the roster with overpriced veterans over 30 with declining skills and guys who just plain sucked. I have been impressed with the job Carroll and Schneider have done so far in trying to rebuild this franchise to this point, but I know that there is still more for them to do before this team is anywhere near elite. They are getting closer I believe, but they can’t overhaul the whole roster properly in one or two years. There are still problem spots in our roster that need to be dealt with in order for this team to get to the next level. As this is supposed to be a defense oriented team, I must point out the glaring problems on that side of the ball. Our D line is much improved from what it was, but we still see room for improvement. Pass rush is hit or miss with them depending on where the game is being played and containing the runners has been sporadic lately. Personally I think this is partially due to personnel and largely due to coaching. Our LB’s are an area that still needs serious attention. Wagner looks as if he is going to develop into a very good MLB so that area is looking okay. I feel Wright is a good at his position, but not great and will need to be replaced. The glaring problem at LB is Leroy Hill. He is continuously getting burned in the passing game and hence become a huge liability when on the field. He must be replaced ASAP. The other player who is a huge liability is Trufant. He cannot cover anyone anymore and has no business even being on the field. I watched on the Dolphins last drive as Marcus gave up over 40 yards on back to back plays, allowing them into FG range. While I can blame that partially on Marcus and his declined skills, I put much of the blame on the questionable play calling. I, like so many of my fellow Seahawk fans, am questioning the quality of this coaching staff and their play calling. I thought Carroll’s decision to give the team the bye week off was plain foolish given the youth of our team and especially with a rookie QB. You give veteran teams with older players the week of if they are playing hot; you do not throw away valuable practice time with a young and developing team. I also have serious doubts about the coordinators on both sides of the ball. I truly believe that Bevell is a terrible OC and needs to go. His play calling is both predictable and highly confusing. He can’t seem to strategize and adapt his play calling to maximize what is working during a game, rather he continues to try using the original game plan even when it is obvious to all that it isn’t working. He continued to try forcing the run against Miami late into the game even though it was obvious that their D was containing it quite well; ignoring the fact that the passing game was working quite well late in the game. While Bevell keeps trying unsuccessfully to force defenses to adapt to his play calling, Bradley seems to have an almost opposite problem. Gus seems to allow opposing teams to dictate how he calls the game, which is plain foolish if we are to seriously believe this is a dominant defense. The strength of the D this year seemed to be man coverage base D while the weakness seems to be zone coverage, especially in nickel and dime packages. Yet what do we see almost every week in the 4th quarter? Bradley switching to a nickel and dime zone “prevent” defense which obviously hasn’t prevented anyone from scoring. Dominant defenses with good coaches play to their strengths and force opposing teams to deal with it; they don’t allow opposing coaches to push them away from their strengths. We all saw this mentality from Holmgren when he was here and we had a dominant offense. He called HIS game and forced opponents to try to stop it, not the other way around. As I recognize these problems I have been patient with this rebuilding project, but we are at the point now where another .500 or less win percentage season is unacceptable. It’s time for Bevell to go, no ifs, ands, or buts. Bradley should most likely be shown the door as well and told to go coach with the bum who hired him, Mora. If we end up at 7-9 yet again under Carroll, it is time to seriously evaluate whether or not he can. Perhaps he is just like Dennis Erickson, a great college coach who can’t figure out how to handle a locker room full of paid players.

Ruskell did destroy this team, there are still some highly over rated players on this team, and the playcalling from Bevell and Bradley has been atrocious on the road. I do wonder, and hope, Carroll will be let go if the team ends up at 7-9 again. I did notice Trufant was the one who got beat twice in a row on the last drive but figured that was due to Bradley's stupidity going into his favorite formation, the prevent defense. That Carroll publicly stated that Trufant would stay the nickel back if BB and Sherman are suspended silently supports your statement that he is a washed up CB.
