Carroll says Thurmond will be active vs. Bears
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says cornerback Walter Thurmond will be active Sunday against Chicago and should play for the first time since suffering a broken leg last season.
Thurmond has not been active for a game since he was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list earlier this month.
"We're excited to get him out there and get him to play. He's had great work getting back," Carroll told "Seattle's Morning News" on Friday. "Now he's had five, six weeks now getting with it so he's gone through like a preseason and he's ready to go. It will be fun to get Walter out there. He's been very, very obvious out on the practice field."
Carroll said defensive end Red Bryant (foot) and linebacker Leroy Hill (ankle) could be game-time decisions. Neither practiced on Wednesday or Thursday.
"We'll see what they can do today (Friday) and find out a little bit more. We probably will go all the way to game time on both those guys," he said.
