The Seahawks said Thursday that the team is exploring the possibility of adding seats to CenturyLink Field in a move that would stand to make the NFL's loudest stadium even louder.

CenturyLink Field set the Guinness world record for crowd noise earlier this season when the decibel level reached 136.6 during the Seahawks' Week 2 win over San Francisco. And as if the added capacity wouldn't already make the stadium even louder, the new seats may be metal bleachers like those in the north end of the stadium, according to Garafolo.
The stadium's website lists its total capacity at 72,000, with 67,000 fixed seats and room for an additional 5,000 seats for special events.
