Several Ravens could be appealing to Seahawks in free agency
Now that the Super Bowl is over, thoughts immediately turn to next season, especially for the Seahawks.

The NFL champion Baltimore Ravens face some difficult decisions during the offseason. Quarterback Joe Flacco put off talk on a new contract until after the season. And thanks to his stellar playoff play, the Ravens no doubt will have to give Flacco a big raise. Between their budget and the salary cap, that means they likely won't be able to pay the big bucks due several other key members of the Super Bowl champion squad.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported last week the Ravens project over $5 million over the salary cap already even before giving Flacco a new deal. Star wide receiver Anquan Boldin could be released in a cost-cutting move and standout outside linebacker Paul Kruger is scheduled to be a free agent. While Boldin would be a nice addition to the Seahawks receiving core, 710 ESPN's Bob Stelton and Dave Grosby agree the priority for Seattle has to be a pass rusher.
With questions surrounding the return of Chris Clemons from knee surgery (both timing and health) and whether defensive end Bruce Irvin can become a more dominant force on the defensive line, Stelton and Grosby discuss in the video below why Kruger would be a great addition to the Seahawks defense, and why the team would benefit from a veteran presence like Kruger.

After two years as the producer for "Brock and Salk," Colin Paisley now produces "Bob and Groz." Colin also hosts "Seattle Sports at Night" with Tom Wassell and Matt Pitman. Colin came to 710 ESPN Seattle after five years at various FM music stations in Bellingham and Seattle. Plus he likes tons of bands you've never heard of, and once you hear of them he'll stop liking them.
