Does the Mariners stellar spring streak mean anything?
While Bob says it's important for guys like Justin Smoak who have struggled at the plate the last few seasons, validating the work they've put in during the offseason and helping build confidence for the regular season.
But Groz says baseball history is full of guys and teams that have had stellar springs, only to fade away when the games actually count (see the Royals and Blue Jays as prime examples.)
Still, as they guys discuss in the video below, at the very least it's a lot more fun to talk about a 10-game winning streak and a bunch of home runs rather than a 10-game losing streak.
