We need to keep things from escalating

I think President Donald Trump’s staff utterly failed him yesterday. It was obvious that the only thing the press was going to want to talk about was Charlottesville. I would have preferred if the president would have directly called out the sad, Nazi losers.
Someone else should have been explaining the administrations views in a different setting. The press is obviously going to go at Trump on Charlottesville, so why in the world was he giving a speech on infrastructure?

But the press has to have a counterbalance. The press needs to remind people that Antifa not only punch Nazis, but are cultural Marxists.
And some on the left are saying tearing down monuments is not radical. They are destroying public property. I sort of see that as radical.
I asked the Seattle Police Department and King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg for a legal clarification, but they didn’t get back to me. I wanted to know if I could go tear down the statue of the mass murderer Lenin in Fremont with impunity.
This stuff is going to escalate and it’s going to get out of hand. We deserve a nuanced conversation, not questions yelled out at the president at Trump Tower.
