Macaroni and cheese cook-off
This week, Dori Monson stepped up to the challenge and put his mac and cheese recipe up against one that’s been called the “World’s Best.”
Dori’s twist on the classic Kraft macaroni and cheese was offered against Beecher’s “World’s Best” macaroni and cheese prepared by Kurt Beecher Dammeier in a blind taste test at the KIRO Radio studios. The two mac and cheese competitors were working from two very different recipes.
For Dori, it was a box of Kraft macaroni and cheese, some pepper jack cheese, some crushed red pepper and some pepperoni.
Beecher’s macaroni and cheese featured a blend of Beecher’s flagship cheese, their Just Jack cheese, some penne pasta, whole milk, butter and a touch of chipotle chili and garlic powder. Get the full recipe here.
