Ask celebu-chef Tom Douglas his favorite Washington wine right now, and he says...
Tom Douglas stopped by my desk here at the radio station today.
"Tom," I said, as he was having a conversation with our Sports Director, Bill Swartz.
"Sorry for interrupting, but what are your favorite Washington wines at this moment?"
He thought for a split-second and said, "I like the Quilceda Red. The one that's not the super-expensive one. And the Chinook Cab Franc."
Quilceda Creek's 2008 Columbia Valley Red Wine is around 65/bottle, and the 2010 Chinook Cabernet Franc (rose) is sold out on the Chinook website, at about 16/bottle.
Seattle’s own Tom Douglas and Thierry Rautureau “the Chef in the Hat” have paired up again for the new "Seattle Kitchen" radio show, which starts this Saturday at 8am here on 97.3 KIRO FM.
