Obama consented and has recently used the term himself.
The same won't be true for 'Mayor McSchwinn,' a negative term often used by drivers to describe Seattle's bike-riding mayor.
On KIRO Radio's Ross & Burbank Show, Luke asked the mayor if he wants to take Mayor McSchwinn back.
"I don't know if I'm ready yet. We'll find out."
Mayor McGinn said he realizes he takes the power back if he just embraces the term, but it's not happening soon.
The mayor said he now commutes about half of the week, giving him a chance to unplug and get some exercise.
"It's good for me and I think a lot of people in Seattle have been telling me they want it to be a little safer."
