Just calmly getting ready

You might think the gun community is, dare I say, up in arms about a possible assault weapons ban, but cruising the Internet, they seem to be taking it calmly and just preparing for it.

"In today's video, we thought that we would explore the idea - if you had to buy five guns to prepare for a potential assault weapons ban," says a YouTube published gun expert.

And they already know which guns will be targeted first: the AR-15s.

"This is going to be the number one gun that they'll be coming for because it looks evil."

But no need to panic, because you can just buy the core part of the gun, the lower receiver, as it's called, which is maybe $150, as many as you want, and and just add the other parts later.

"Now see, this is what is considered the gun, this lower receiver. Now under an assault weapons ban if you've got 10 of these laying around all you have to do is buy the uppers and everything else is the same because that receiver was grandfathered in, in such case because it was purchased before the assault weapons ban.

And you definitely want to stock up on the high capacity magazines.

"These magazines, they sell for like $15, when the ban comes back you can sell them for a hundred bucks a piece. You need to stock up - not only on guns - but stock up on the accessories as well."

I have to say, they don't sound a bit worried. So there you have it - whether there's an assault weapons ban or not, it sounds like there are still ways to maintain an arsenal - and even make a little extra money.

    gun bans are frivolous exercises to appease low information voters who don't really care to correct the problem. So when they say "it's about the kids." They don't really care about anything other that being re-elected to their 1% lifestyles.

    You are absolutely correct, they don't care to correct the problem. They only care about themselves and how warm and fuzzy those is charge make them feel. Like Obama's 23 executive orders. Makes me feel warm all over, but maybe that's because what I really got was pissed on by the Government.

    That a ban on fully automatic weapons is easily and nearly universally accepted but the ban of a 30 round magazine is a somehow a violation of the Second Amendment.

    Now, personally, I think this train has left the station but the inconsistency is amusing.

    And the lack of recognition of that inconsistency is more so.

    There is a clear and distinct difference between a semi-automatic weapon and a fully automatic one. The first fires one bullet with one pull of the trigger. Still with me? And the second continues to fire as long as the trigger is held down. Got it?

    That would be the Gun Control Act of 1934 that outlawed fully automatic weapons and yes I think that is unconstitutional as well as the gun control act of 1968.

    Kind of had to answer it that way, though didn't you?

    And thanks for the lesson on auto vs semi auto. I wondered why my 1911A didn't keep firing when I held down the trigger at the range. It is a Remington, BTW. A WWII sidearm, licensed out to Remington for manufacture during the war. My Colt King Cobra didn't work either. Or my match grade Ruger or my Ruger LCP.

    None of them worked when I just held the trigger down.

    I wondered and YOU cleared it up for me you fracking moron.

    You dont have a right to take away my rights because you feel unsafe. According the odds, there is a list of a thousand things you have a better chance dying from. We should have fully auto weapons. I would actually laugh if someone tried to use a fully auto weapon in a mass shooting. Not very practical to empty your mag in 3 seconds. The supreme court has already defined the 2nd amendment to mean we, the people, have the right to bear the arms normal to our standing army. Thomas Jefferson said Quotation: "The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it." Do you care to use some other irrational excuse to what the founding fathers intended? Arms are not about hunting. Its about our right to remain free.     Your petty emotional reaction like everyone else is disgusting. The founding fathers never realized the internet and 24 hour news cycle would exist. We should get rid of the first amendment as well because people dont know whats good for them and unfettered access to news leads to deaths. See how stupid your argument sounds?     Assault weapons are already banned. Really...they are. What we are talking about here is banning "Assault STYLE" weapons. What does that mean? The mechanics behind an AR-15 are just like most handguns these days. The only difference is that they look similar to REAL assault weapons like the M16. Those who want guns banned, use "Assault Style" weapons to make uneducated people think that they are one and the same, and they are not.

    It wont because it will never get off the ground and because it is simply political fodder for this regime. Nothing else. The Democrat party has wanted for decades to end the Second amendment. Now with the Dear Leader in office the American Left feels that they have the momentum and the man in office to finally do this. They don't!

    Looks like someone has been learning about firearms....a few more months of this and you may start to have a clue. I still think you need to get out on a predator hunt or at least find a gun range and get some experience before you shoot off your mouth and tell the law abiding gun owners what's good for them. You may at some point learn what the difference is between an assault rifle and a semi auto. But just knowing that the lower and mags are a great investment is a start..I might also recommend stocking up on .223 as well...uh....that's ammunition Dave. Keep up the good work.
