Seattle Freeze is real

A Seattle Times writer who just moved here says the Seattle Freeze is definitely real. He's experienced it first hand.

    Hmmmmm?............
Frozen because of Icelandic roots? Never heard of that, but it's so crazy, it might actually be true.

As for me........I'm part Welsh and part Hungarian. Most people just call me Well-Hung.

    Seattle BRAIN Freeze
There is a BIG difference between people of the Puget Sound and the rest of Washington. I grew up on the Olympic peninsula and it was pretty easy to tell someone from the Seattle area because they tended to be a bit more anal.

    It's pretty simple
The majority of us who grew up here grew up with the notion of a "lesser Seattle". Polite, but not wanting to see our somewhat gritty, small-town lifestyle change.

Of course now we've got gay marriage and legalized pot.

    Now go away.

It's not impossible to thaw the freeze ...........
It's just harder to get to know folks around Seattle. The Freeze is real but it's not permanent, you just have to be patient because Seattle folks want to see if the friendship is genuine or you're up to something. You gotta earn trust.

    Pffttt

I have had no troubles getting close to people that have been born and raised in Seattle. If you don't like or trust me, guess what, I don't like or trust you.

Every friend that I currently have (not many) are born and raised right here in Seattle, they like my genuine sincerity and honesty. We often laugh at the difference between the Pacific Northwest and my hometown of Northern California.

Granted, I have never felt the need to hang around elitist from any part of the country even though I have had ample opportunity to immense myself amongst there mist, I can't stand phoney people. I am more closed off than any Seattle Freeze can ever be and Seattlite's have been successful in prying that stand offish nature in me that I still have trouble at my advance age of getting rid of.

I have got some real friends here in Seattle and I cherish every moment.

    Pfffttt
