Are these parents overreacting to a dolphin biting their child?
on December 3, 2012 @ 12:27 pm (Updated: 2:08 pm - 12/3/12 )
Parents of 8-year-old Jillian Thomas were concerned when a dolphin jumped up and snagged a carton of fish from their daughter's hand, leaving bite marks.
Their daughter, on the other hand, was more concerned for the dolphin, which ate a paper carton whole.
Now the parents have been making the news as they blame SeaWorld for the bite, even appearing on Fox News. However, SeaWorld says they warn adults and children that dolphins are wild animals and can be unpredictable.
In other fish news, a girl freaked out when whales swam past her family's canoe. The episode produced a hilarious contrast between her fear of the gentle giant and amazement at the little sucker fishes following it.
