Heartwarming high school hoops

I know we talk (and joke) about it all the time: it doesn't take much to make me cry.

But watch this story about high school basketball sportsmanship and heart.

I dare you to tell me that it doesn't make you a bit misty-eyed too.

I'm sure you have read the Sea. Times today about the flaws in the floating bridge. There are two comments that made me so mad I couldn't stand it: 1."Disciplinary action will be sought against state DOT who Hammond says roke with protocol." Failing to run models that would have shown the likelihood of cracking at the pontoon ends should be a fireable offense. But of course it is impossible to fire a state employee after 6 months of employment. 2. "Everybody wants you to take risks, until something goes wrong." No Paula Hammond, when it comes to engineering and safety no one expects you to take risks. I am outraged that this stupid woman was allowed to run this department aren't you?

RE: Joan52. You posted your comments on the wrong topic it seems.
As to this story... thank you Dori for sharing this one. I always love a good heart-wearming story like this. With all of the "crud" we have to deal with on a daily basis, it's ALWAYS good to be reminded that there is good humanity out there - and that ALL of us are connected in at least some ways sometimes.
