Grocery store workers at four major chains in Washington have authorized a strike.
One of the big issues being negotiated are potential changes to their health care plans.
The one question I would ask all the workers who are afraid they might lose health care for their less than 30 hour a week workers is: Why is that going to happen?
The answer is Obamacare.
I would love to ask the grocery store workers that are about to go on strike, the union workers: How many of you voted for Obama?
Because Obamacare is one primary reason that so many businesses are booting people off their own health care plan and saying no go to the government plan.
I would just ask the grocery store workers: Isn’t this what you voted for, if you voted for your guy Obama?
You’re getting what you wanted now. And now you’re saying no, you’re willing to strike over that issue.
There seems to be a little disconnect. You just wanted everybody else to have the government health care, but you don’t want that yourself.
It’s kind of like Congress. Congress wants it for everyone else but they made sure they secured an exemption for themselves.
