Group seeking $15 minimum wage doesn’t start their workers at $15 an hour

Working America is one of the organizations that is fighting for $15 an hour minimum wage. They just posted a hiring opportunity on their facebook page:

“We’re hiring in Seattle! Field Organizers start @ $12.25/hr, $15 after 90 days,” says the post.

How are their new hires supposed to survive for those three months when they’re only making $12.25 an hour? I have no idea. Plus, what is going to stop them from firing the people after 89 days?

Also, the $15 an hour crowd, I haven’t heard them say let’s give employers a 90-day probationary period with new hires at $12.25 an hour.

Why don’t they just hire their workers at $15 an hour? Working America, why don’t you just walk the walk?

They want it for thee but not for me.
