Seattle Mayor Ed Murray’s former press secretary is suing the city, saying she was subject to discrimination. Read the full story.

Ed Murray has built his career almost solely on the politics of victimization.

That’s why this is so delicious.

She was horrible at her job and she doesn’t deserve to get paid, but I love that she’s putting Ed Murray through this. Because every chance he has gotten throughout his political career, he’s tried to put everybody through this. He tells us every chance he gets about how gays are oppressed, minorities are oppressed, women are oppressed. Everybody’s a victim, according to Ed Murray.

Then lo and behold, the politics of victimization come back to haunt him when an African-American woman, who again, was no good at her job and he had to fire her, but she comes back and sues the city for $1 million. Playing the game the way Ed Murray has played it every single second of his political career.

Hey Ed, maybe you told this woman often enough what a victim she is. Maybe she started to believe some of your rhetoric. Maybe she started to believe some of the nonsense that you spew all the time as you try to divide people and as you try to convince people what victims they are. As you use that as your lever to try to pry more money from our wallets with the politics of victimization.

Now that comes back to haunt you? That’s why the city is getting hit with this million dollar claim? It couldn’t get any more delicious.
