I found this remarkable. So here it is the most important time of year for all of the businesses in your city. You had all of these protests going on in Seattle, you had people arrested, you’ve had a little bit of violence, you’ve had all kinds of problems.

So where was Ed Murray this weekend? On the East Coast. Ed Murray, while all of this turmoil was going on in Seattle, left on Friday to attend a conference of LGBT-elected officials.

Ed Murray can do whatever he wants with his sexuality and all of that, but when you put that identity above running the city for which you were elected mayor, your perspective, your priorities are completely screwed up.

There were seven people arrested – I think it was Saturday night. With all of these protests, you’ve got a business community that’s hurting bad because of all of this. But the selfishness of Ed Murray to say, I’m still going to go to the LGBT conference back in Washington, D.C., it shows a selfishness, a narcissism, and a lack of prioritization that are all prime examples of a mayor that is way over his head in running this city, that he thought an LGBT conference was more important than sticking around Seattle and doing his job.

Ed Murray told The Seattle Times “if something goes wrong, I’ll come back. But I believe there are numerous issues I need to work on.”

So apparently whatever LGBT issues they were covering at this conference, that was more important than running the city of Seattle and being at the helm when there were all these planned, predicted, and executed protests over the weekend.

Ed Murray is a mayor gigantically over his head trying to run the city of Seattle. Absolutely out of touch.
