The Groupon date debate – You be the judge

With deal sites like Groupon and Living Social booming, it’s inevitable many-a hot date is doused when the guy pulls out the two-for-one coupon.
You’d think in this day and age (especially given the state of the economy) it wouldn’t be a big deal.
“I’m worth more than that,” laughs 97.3 KIRO FM news anchor Jessica Gottesman (long since unavailable), one of many ladies who tell the Dori Monson Show a first date deal is a big don’t.
“Using Groupon on a first date for dining is just a step above asking someone to split an appetizer when you thought you were meeting for a full meal,” writes Julie Spira, a self-professed online dating expert.
