Facebook graffiti artist made the right choice

He's not a creator, programmer, or even a true investor in Facebook, but David Choe will be a very rich man when the company begins to trade publicy later this year.

Choe is an artist in his 30's who was invited by Sean Parker in 2005 to the company's headquarters in Palo Alto, to paint graffiti murals. Rather than accept thousands of dollars for the work, he took a chance and accepted an equal amount in shares.

The New York Times estimates Choe will be worth $200 million. Not bad for someone who, according to the Times, said the idea of Facebook was "ridiculous and pointless" at the time.

Choe has sinced joined Facebook.
