July 19, 2012 @ 2:22 pm (Updated: 3:35 pm - 7/19/12 )Five years after being convicted of animal abuse, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick told Piers Morgan he wants to get a dog for his kids.
Afterall, it's "selfish" for him to take that experience from the kiddos. "I don't want to take that dream (of dog ownership) away from them."
Vick was banned from owning a dog for three years after serving jail time for his role in illegal dog fighting.
While it is technically legal for Vick to get a dog, most dog lovers agree he's burned through the privilege of slobbery kisses and cuddling on the couch with Cosmo.
In Dori's Facebook poll, 69 of you said it's not a good idea for Vick to get a dog. Eight of you said it's OK.
