Why the Seahawks' pick is a shockApril 27, 2012 @ 9:48 am
Bill called it.
710 ESPN-Seattle's Bill Swartz joined us earlier this week on Seattle's Morning News and told us the Seahawks coach and GM have a history of being "creative." Outside the box. Round peg, square hole.
Well, in Thursday's draft, they certainly thought outside the box hole. The experts are calling the Hawks' choice of defensive end Bruce Irvin "mind-boggling" and "a head scratcher."
As I'm writing this, Bob Stelton, also of 710 ESPN Seattle, is talking to the mystery man. We'll tell you Irvin's story, and talk about the promise and the risk, on this weekend's Bill Radke Treatment. Saturday at 6 am and noon; Sunday at 2:00.
The Bill Radke Treatment: "It's a head scratcher."
