Not anymore.
With a photo sharing app called Snapchat, someone can send you a picture that lasts up to 10 seconds, then disappears.
Oh, you can make it last longer by taking a screenshot. But the app will automatically notify the sender.
Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel says, "It seems odd that at the beginning of the Internet everyone decided everything should stick around forever. I think our application makes communication a lot more human and natural."
Got that? This is not about sexting, says Spiegel. Despite the photos on his home page.
