It's summer driving season and I think I have a Thomas Guide in my car. I'm not sure. Because who uses maps?
This morning, we listened to a CBS News Money Watch piece about how -- thanks to GPS -- the map industry is folding. They're not alone. The Twebsite Life Hacker has a new piece called "Stuff You Don't Have to Buy Because You Can Print It Yourself for Free."
Some were obvious to me: did anyone EVER buy blank shopping lists or to-do checklists?
Some, though, I hadn't thought of: Why a wooden ruler? You can easily print your own paper one.
Graph paper.
Blank sheet music.
Board games -- you can print your own Scrabble game. Or deck of cards.
Christmas card tags. Hmmm … I think I actually bought some of those last year. What a chump.
