TBTL WITH LUKE BURBANK

I started a conversation on the sTens page that made Andrew nervous. My bad! I was just genuinely curious where everyone started entered into the TBTL story. And Luke, if you’re reading this, you are still beloved. But don’t read the comments.
Don’t ever read the comments.

So over the weekend I asked on Facebook what the whole Ice Bucket Challenge thing was about. I had seen stuff on the interwebs, but much like Burbank, if something is becoming super popular I shy away from it. Mostly for a couple months until it’s not “the thing” anymore and then I’ll hide under the covers and check it out so no one knows I finally gave in.

There were some mixed reviews on the whole thing and I’m not really sure what side of the fence I fall on. I guess I’ll go with the gents and say that if it’s actually raising awareness, and if it’s actually raising money, then I guess I can’t say bad stuff about it. But… water is kind of a valuable resource these days and parts of the country are going through a drought so.. is that cool? Just something to chew on.

And Song of the Summer! Get your votes in! It’s a real barn burner this year.

New York Times columnist David Carr died on Thursday night. The guys did a great job eulogizing him and there's little praise I could add.

Harper “Buddy” Lee: You Can’t Bust Her!

I spent a blog "week off" mourning the Sea-Yuks loss but I was still listening to the show. There are so many issues it feels like time for my first USA Today/Larry King style post.

Touched “a” Verve… or “The” Verve?

On the morning of January 23rd, 2006 my phone rang while I was eating breakfast. I had a sore throat so my "hello" was weak and hoarse.
