TBTL WITH LUKE BURBANK

Hey! Hodor!

I am totally with Andrew on the buffer vacation days. I need a day or two before going back to work to unpack my bags, do laundry, lay on the couch in my sweat pants, watch The Office reruns, and eat nachos while dreading having to go back to work the next day. I guess doing it Luke’s way makes a bit more sense, though. If I got back into town the night before going back to work then I don’t have enough time to dread returning. Hmm. Nachos for thought.

Song of the Summer! Who’s excited? This girl. Not because I have any nominations to throw into the hat — my interest in cool music lasted about 2 years and then I returned to 90s country and pop — but it’s such a super fun way for everyone to get involved. It’s seriously one of my favorite times of year and I’m excited it’s happening again. If you wanna get your nominations in early you can send them to songofthesummer@tbtl.net. Please be sure to include a link to the audio so the gents don’t have to track it down. They’ve got radio shows to produce and yellowjackets to monitor.

AND… it sounds like there’s going to be another get together at Chateau Ste Michelle and I’m really, really, really going to try to make it this year. You should come too.

New York Times columnist David Carr died on Thursday night. The guys did a great job eulogizing him and there's little praise I could add.

Harper “Buddy” Lee: You Can’t Bust Her!

I spent a blog "week off" mourning the Sea-Yuks loss but I was still listening to the show. There are so many issues it feels like time for my first USA Today/Larry King style post.

Touched “a” Verve… or “The” Verve?

On the morning of January 23rd, 2006 my phone rang while I was eating breakfast. I had a sore throat so my "hello" was weak and hoarse.
