TBTL WITH LUKE BURBANK

It’s finally happened. Luke has replayed a show that I already wrote a blog for! My work here is done! This episode aired during the TBTL-athon, or TBTLA-athon as Ken Marino calls it. Here’s what I had to say at the time:

The TBTL-athon is on! Please donate today. There are a bunch of great thank you gifts emblazoned with the proverbial little red wagon. Maybe if they get enough donations they will be able to hire a real blogger, because as Luke says, you get what you pay for. And if you actually like my blogs, then just don’t donate so they’re forced to keep me around (don’t really not donate).

Today on the show we’re joined by Ken Marino, who you may know from Party Down, Children’s Hospital, Burning Love or my favorite thing ever, this scene from Wet Hot American summer. Marino talks about those great shows, his time working on the video for Disney and Aerosmith’s Rock N’ Rollercoaster and his own little red wagon, The Red Bull and Almond Diet.

All that and more on the first episode of the TBTL-athon. Again, donate now so that Luke can afford to upgrade his Netflix account to include DVDs. Personally I think Netflix Instant is a great place to go to watch all the TV shows everyone was talking about 3 or 4 years ago.

New York Times columnist David Carr died on Thursday night. The guys did a great job eulogizing him and there's little praise I could add.

I spent a blog "week off" mourning the Sea-Yuks loss but I was still listening to the show. There are so many issues it feels like time for my first USA Today/Larry King style post.

Touched “a” Verve… or “The” Verve?

On the morning of January 23rd, 2006 my phone rang while I was eating breakfast. I had a sore throat so my "hello" was weak and hoarse.
