TBTL WITH LUKE BURBANK

Today on the show Luke and Andrew go deep into their feelings about the government’s data gathering program PRISM. More importantly, they establish that Coke Zero is, in fact, a gamechanger *wink.* I’m not into to the Cherry myself, but I love the original, and if I spot the Vanilla in the wild I’m on it in a heartbeat. President Obama, on the other hand, is a Pepsi man, so that could affect Luke’s implicit trust of the man.

OBAMA-SODA

I’m still not really sure where I stand on PRISM, and if that’s the case I must not be the passionate about it. We are voluntarily giving up our right to privacy constantly, and it doesn’t seem like they have access to particularly personal data until they have obtained a warrant. As long as they don’t show my boss how much time I spend on Twitter at work I’m okay with it. I also don’t have a problem with us having security cameras everywhere. I see their effectiveness in fantastic BBC crime shows like Sherlock and Luther, and groundbreaking films like Fast & Furious 6.

Lastly, I agree with Buzzfeed that no real Song of the Summer has emerged yet, but I have been enjoying this latest entry: “Out of My League” by Fitz & The Tantrums. Have a great weekend, Tens.

New York Times columnist David Carr died on Thursday night. The guys did a great job eulogizing him and there's little praise I could add.

Harper “Buddy” Lee: You Can’t Bust Her!

I spent a blog "week off" mourning the Sea-Yuks loss but I was still listening to the show. There are so many issues it feels like time for my first USA Today/Larry King style post.

Touched “a” Verve… or “The” Verve?

On the morning of January 23rd, 2006 my phone rang while I was eating breakfast. I had a sore throat so my "hello" was weak and hoarse.
