TBTL WITH LUKE BURBANK

I was once at a comedy show in Seattle, and I saw a couple in front of me that caused me to ask out loud, “Why is that gorgeous woman kissing that guy with a rat tail?” The answer is because that man was The Mummy and he probably gave her a mini bottle of gin from out of his sock. On today’s show we learn all about this amazing man with the help of questions from you, The Tens. If you haven’t gotten your Mummy fix you can always seem him at Karaoke Grass @ Bass Nectar the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month.

We also get to hear a fascinating interview Luke did with his friend Lynn who recently underwent a double mastectomy, before Angelina Jolie made it cool. As Luke said, it’s a little more serious than the show usually gets. I thought this informative and sobering story balanced nicely with the lovable absurdity of The Mummy for a well rounded show. Also, I totally want one of those Sock-ets.

I spent a blog "week off" mourning the Sea-Yuks loss but I was still listening to the show. There are so many issues it feels like time for my first USA Today/Larry King style post.

On the morning of January 23rd, 2006 my phone rang while I was eating breakfast. I had a sore throat so my "hello" was weak and hoarse.
