TBTL WITH LUKE BURBANK

On this Monday edition of TBTL, Mommy and Daddy make up, much like Brad Paisley and LL Cool J make up for hundreds of years of racism in America with their new song, “Accidentally Racist.” I had only read the lyrics to the song before the show, so I was rather dismissive of it. Then I heard it on TBTL and realized that you can only really feel it’s healing power when that beautiful country/rap music fills your ears.

While it is poignant, the song is actually pretty irrelevant since racism was already erased with this lovely tune that Luke and Andrew mention, “Ebony and Ivory.”

On the morning of January 23rd, 2006 my phone rang while I was eating breakfast. I had a sore throat so my "hello" was weak and hoarse.
