Crotch Talk

We’re joined on the show by comedian Andy Haynes and author of The Art of Explanation, Lee LeFever. They debut a new segment called crotch talk which I’m pretty sure is already the name of an entire section of podcasts on iTunes. Despite what you might have guessed this is the segment of the show where crotch related trauma is discussed. This segues nicely into Luke’s wondering whether or not they should make an entire episode that’s just a huge bummer.
If we’re submitting our saddest stories that don’t ruin your day I’ll share one from when I was probably 14 or 15.
I grew up in what is euphemistically called a large “blended family,” or more accurately called “third time’s a charm.” So it was a loud house and I was usually tucked away in my room in the basement. One night I was told that we were ordering pizza for dinner, and we all know there are few things more thrilling to a young boy than pizza for dinner. I waited and waited for the announcement to come that pizza had arrived but I never heard it. Eventually I went up to check and saw that it had indeed arrived but nobody had told me and the pizza was all gone.
It’s hilarious how devastating this was to me at the time, but to be honest I would probably be just as sad if it happened today. Big boys love pizza too.
