NEW YORK (AP) — You’ve heard the famous Star Wars line “May the force be with you.” Well, Sunday, May the 4th, has become an unofficial holiday for movie fans, who have been dressing up like Star Wars characters, and spoofing the famous line.
In New York, where there’s a Jedi Academy that teaches youngsters how to joust with light sabers, students performed their moves for spectators.
Even NASA is getting in on the fun. The flight engineer onboard the International Space Station sent a special video message to May the Fourth participants. In true movie fashion, the video was jammed by the Empire, until R2-D2 did a fly-by, and fixed the satellite problem. The holiday greeting is on NASA’s website.
