I'm in the process of writing a book and was getting genuinely excited about RTIR. Then Andrew said they wouldn't be printing off their little pamphlet anymore. Dangit! So close and yet so far. Stupid technology.
Speaking of technology, the whole ringtone conversation made me super aware of the fact that my ringtone is the default iPhone ringtone. I never got around to changing it because by the time I try out three possibilities, I get annoyed with all the bleeps and bloops and just say screw it. I've definitely been one of those people in the store who reaches into their pocket when they hear said default ringtone going off. I kind of look like I have a compulsory twitch. (Side note: I spelled compulsory correctly on my first try. Booyah.)
I used to just keep my phone on silent because I hate ringtones in general, but then I had kids; kids who love to play with Mommy's phone and put it in all sorts of fun places like the kitchen sink and the laundry hamper. Now I have to keep the volume as high as possible in hopes of finding it before the battery dies.
There was a "behind the curtain" moment on Thursday's show so I thought I'd share my own. While listening to tonight's show, I cleaned my bathroom, then had dinner which was comprised of nothing but homemade cheesy mashed potatoes, a diet coke, and three Reese's peanut butter cups. Be jealous.
TBTL-a-thon is coming up! What intimate venue do you think is going to hold 50 or so of the luckiest tens on the planet? My money's on Sean's apartment.
