Ama-what?

I was stoked to hear I'm not the only one who goes around talking in drops. I'm pretty sure not a day goes by that I don't say, or at least think, some drop from TBTL. Sometimes it just fits the scene. Hanging out with two of my guy pals? "Two bros! Bro'ing it up!" My sister talking about going tanning? "I just like to be tan. It just feels good." For every moment there's a drop, and for every drop there's a moment. (Copyright 2014 Toni Hammer)

So most of you guys know I'm writing a book which made me just a touch more interested in the show than normal. Here are my scattered thoughts that no one cares about. *Amazon is a business. Amazon can do whatever it wants. If someone who's been working with them doesn't like what they're doing, they'll go find another business to work with. "But Amazon is the biggest and the most convenient." Well, yes, but if enough people go elsewhere, maybe it'll change things.

*I'll disagree with Luke and say that publishers are quasi-necessary if one wants to go the traditional route to get a book out into the world. You write a book, you get an agent, the agent sells the book to a publisher, the publisher helps market the book. It's an easier way for more people to see said book. Now, are they absolutely necessary? Gosh no. If things don't work out for me, and every publisher declines to buy my book, you can bet I'm going to go the self-publishing route. And if you guys thought I was annoying when I asked you to like my Facebook page, wait until I'm hustling to get my book out there.

*If you think Amazon is a problem, then be part of the solution. I don't know how to do that either, but I'm sure there are people out there much smarter than me who can figure it out.

That's all I got. My daughter's birthday was Wednesday and there's a whole lot of birthday cake that isn't going to eat itself.
