TBTL WITH LUKE BURBANK

Hey Lloyd!

When Luke first said they’d be discussing Nicholas Cage’s outfit, I really thought they were going to go a different direction. I assumed there’d be less… envy.
But I get it. I really do.

It takes a strong character to choose to put together an ensemble that not only includes chaps, but a shirt with your own face on it. Why does he even own that? Did a fan send it to him? Oh man, I hope he made it himself. Just for that concert. And now he should auction it off for charity or something.

I sincerely admire him, or anyone for that matter, who wears what they wanna wear even if it means the internet is going to make fun of them. The one thing I can’t get behind is the cane. My assumption is he was holding it for Andy Dice Clay. That’s the only reasonable explanation I can come up with.

And Song of the Summer starts Tuesday! If you sent an entry to the email address provided last week, I hope you didn’t forget your nominee because now it’s all happening in a super fancy, super official site coming from Chateau Ste Michelle. Woo! Yay! Exclamation points!

New York Times columnist David Carr died on Thursday night. The guys did a great job eulogizing him and there's little praise I could add.

I spent a blog "week off" mourning the Sea-Yuks loss but I was still listening to the show. There are so many issues it feels like time for my first USA Today/Larry King style post.

Touched “a” Verve… or “The” Verve?

On the morning of January 23rd, 2006 my phone rang while I was eating breakfast. I had a sore throat so my "hello" was weak and hoarse.
