TBTL WITH LUKE BURBANK

Try to Get the Nose Up

Confession: I wasn’t fully focused on Wednesday’s show when I listened to it. I was busy doing three things.

1. Trying to locate our baby monitor… which is still MIA.

2. Building up the courage to kill some giant flying bug… which is still lounging right next to the comfiest part of the couch.

3. Waiting for the food related stories… which never happened.

So tonight was a real winner for me.

There was something about Ikea? Andrew doesn’t care for it, and Burbank prefers to buy stuff at surplus stores. Also, Andrew’s office is sad and Luke isn’t the best furniture maker you’ll meet.

That was my takeaway from the show. I’m off to raid the pantry in search of the baby monitor and Reese’s.

We love Andrew. And like the rest of our loved ones he drives us crazy sometimes.

New York Times columnist David Carr died on Thursday night. The guys did a great job eulogizing him and there's little praise I could add.

Harper “Buddy” Lee: You Can’t Bust Her!

I spent a blog "week off" mourning the Sea-Yuks loss but I was still listening to the show. There are so many issues it feels like time for my first USA Today/Larry King style post.

Touched “a” Verve… or “The” Verve?

On the morning of January 23rd, 2006 my phone rang while I was eating breakfast. I had a sore throat so my "hello" was weak and hoarse.
