Don’t You Find It Kind of Annoying?

Survey time! How many of you have already looked up Andrew’s famous-ish barber? And how many of you emailed Luke about how to get emojis on his phone? I’m guessing many, many of you on both counts.
It was so good to hear the gents! I missed the two of them bantering and joking and driving next to giant trucks on the 5. While I enjoy the interview shows, they’re a bit hard for me to blog about. After yesterday’s show I was like, “Well that was fun. I could write about… nope. I got nothing.”
Thursday’s show, though, is one I can talk about. A little bit. Set your expectations low for this blog post.
The guys seemed to get a bit off track when it came to the tip shaming conversation. I know it’s hard to believe they colored outside the lines a bit as they’re normally super on track every minute of the show, but it happened. The original point of the conversation was asking if it was okay that the restaurant tip shamed the famous dude who’s name I don’t even remember at this point. (I told you to set the bar low.)
My thoughts?
No! Don’t do it! Why do people feel like it’s okay to call someone out like that? All of a sudden the internet has turned into a girls locker room where they talk smack about the weird guys in homeroom. If someone ticks you off, wrongs you, whatever… tell your family. Tell your friends. Don’t post a picture of their poor tipping or their poor decisions in your opinion. It doesn’t help the situation. It didn’t make famous guy write the restaurant a check for the supposed proper tip amount. It just started a wildfire of internet hate and we’ve gotta stop the cycle.
I will be stepping down from my soapbox… now.
