We love Andrew. And like the rest of our loved ones he drives us crazy sometimes. How many times have we heard Andrew start apologizing for having an opinion and turned to our laptop, tablet, or handheld device with a snarl? But I was OK with this. The Cuyahoga Clam is a sensitive guy and wants to head off any controversy. He’s soft and he knows it.

But now Luke has decided to step back from criticizing popular culture, and this I cannot abide. Please don’t start making excuses for the poor taste of middle America and the elderly. I’m a part of both of those demographics and I’ll tell you right now we deserve your ire. Next time you feel charitable toward the olds and our love for NCIS in all it’s iterations just realize that we believe that the US Navy is somehow overseeing thousands of murder investigations every year.

If Luke follows through and TBTL becomes a series of positive affirmations for terrible food, music, TV, and movies it’s going to get ugly over here in the blog. It will be my responsibility to turn all the guns on pop culture. Look out, Wes Anderson, all four of my readers are coming after you in a sub-Reddit. And you better run, you nasty dry scones. You are a fraud. If this is my last post you’ll know that Big Scone got me. Either that or Infinite Guest doesn’t have a place to post my screeds.

My “government” is Mike Frizzell. Friend me on Facebook and you’ll never have to go to a legit source for weather news. Follow me @drewmcfrizz on Twitter for gems like this. Check out Takedown Podcast‘s FB page and nominate some free agents who didn’t make the 2015 Dummy Draft Combine.

New York Times columnist David Carr died on Thursday night. The guys did a great job eulogizing him and there's little praise I could add.

Harper “Buddy” Lee: You Can’t Bust Her!

I spent a blog "week off" mourning the Sea-Yuks loss but I was still listening to the show. There are so many issues it feels like time for my first USA Today/Larry King style post.

Touched “a” Verve… or “The” Verve?

On the morning of January 23rd, 2006 my phone rang while I was eating breakfast. I had a sore throat so my "hello" was weak and hoarse.
