This week, with the Blue Angels in town, we decided it
might be fun to do the show from the roof as they were
flying overhead. There was just one problem, it turns out
Andrew is very, very afraid of heights.
That's why he needed to lie down at the beginning of
the show. Then, the Blue Angels roared by...
And Andrew was forced to move back to his "auxiliary
recording station".
Still, it was super fun for us, sorry it was probably
not particularly fascinating audio content (but what else
is new).

I'm getting it just thinking about being on that roof. I HATE heights too, Andrew. Stay safe and don't let Luke persuade you anymore with alcohol. It's not worth it. :o)
The show was great! I loved Luke's squeals of joy and I applaud Andrew's efforts in altitude. I approve of podcasts from cars, roofs and lightrail trains. Maybe the next show can be live from the scoot-about?
Hey Luke and Andrew,
Today's show was great. It was fun to listen to you and the air show.
My husband will rarely listen to TBTL. He'll humor me a couple times a year and listen. BUT, today he gave up watching the Olympics to listen to TBTL with me. RAWR!!!
by the bye, we were in the basement.

continue from my comment above.
We are listening to the show right now.
The vintange trains/planes perked my husbands intrest. Two days in a row? Could it happen? We'll see.
Thad clapped and laughed at Luke's comment about the Blue Angels learned how to fly from bing. He's more of a TBTL'er than he knows. hehe
I really liked this show. I loved the authenticity of your excitement of the Blue Angels and the anxiety of being on the roof. I'm not a fan of heights either and hearing Andrew describe what he was going through made my legs feel like rubber bands. Stay awesome my friends.
that show had me laughing (out loud) my whole walk home from work. I don't know what it is about you two but rundown, shmundown, who needs it. Maybe because it feels like I'm actually hanging out with friends and laughing along side (or maybe at?) you. I love it. [cue sidebar audio] I have this fascination with heights, where I'm completely a dare devil during the act (whatever it may be) but it's AFTER the fact... usually as I'm trying to go to sleep, when my mind wanders and replays the events and I think, Oh my gah (the blog wouldn't let me write god), what if my foot slipped right then, or, what if I leaned just a wee bit too far over... and THAT'S when I get the willies about heights. Is that just me? Andrew don't look here ---> http://knowyourmeme.com/photos/295080
And as for stress dreams, I've had a reoccurring one where I'm on a roller coaster or something high and moving (including upside down) and I don't have a seat belt or strap on (you know what I mean)... and I have to clutch on for dear life that I don't fall out when we go upside down. You done good Walsh, keep it up.
