Ready for wet and windy? Tips, tools at 'Take Winter By Storm'

Coinciding with the arrival of the wettest days of the year are seasonal reminders on preparedness.

The Take Winter By Storm website, a collaborative program of several public and private sector partners, contains tips and tools that are available in nearly two dozen languages.

The content features advice for coping with inclement weather including wind, rain, floods and freezing temperatures; tips for driving in severe weather; and links to road condition reports and transit services throughout much of western Washington.
