Zillow lands key player for brokerage partnershipsJanuary 7, 2013 @ 8:22 am
Chris Crocker, former regional vice president at Realogy subsidiary NRT LLC, the largest brokerage in the U.S., has joined Seattle-based Zillow as vice president of strategic partnerships.
One of the more popular figures in the brokerage industry, Crocker managed the day-to-day operations and marketing for NRT-owned Coldwell Banker Real Estate offices in the Southwest for seven years, including more than 100 branches with more than 6,000 agents.
He will focus on cultivating relationships with brokerages at Zillow and help with product development.
"The real estate industry is in a period of rapid evolution," Crocker said. "Consumer home-shopping habits are shifting to rely predominantly on mobile devices, the market is turning the corner and the successful brokers are adopting new tools and strategies to adapt to the new marketplace.
"As the leader in mobile real estate and software tools for agents, Zillow has a unique advantage to partner with agents and brokers to help them thrive in the new economy. I'm excited to help Zillow expand our products and programs that benefit consumers, agents and brokers."
Crocker, a graduate of the UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive MBA program, said he and his family would soon be shopping for a home in the Seattle area.
