Seattle ranked No. 11 on apartment 'boom town' list

Sparefoot, a storage unit company, recently released a list of the top "boom towns for apartments," basing its rankings on factors such as the availability of apartments as well as economic and population growth in the 100 most populated metro areas.

The company culled data from the U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

According to Sparefoot's analysis, these cities are seeing their multifamily business booming:

1. San Jose
2. Austin
3. Houston
4. Grand Rapids, Michigan.
5. Nashville
6. Dayton
7. Portland, Oregon
8. San Francisco
9. Dallas-Fort Worth
10. Oklahoma City
11. Seattle
12. Minneapolis-St. Paul
