TCTI: Too Crazy Too Ignore

This campaign is over

Every so often we're reminded what the real struggle in America is: to prevent the forces of nature from sweeping us off the face of the earth.

"I'm not going to mince words. This is the most catastrophic event that we have faced and have been able to plan for in any of our lifetimes," said Gov. Daniel Malloy of Connecticut.

Photos of the storm

And by now we know what to do, our reporters head directly into it, while the rest of us make strategic withdrawals.

Except for this guy: "I got a generator. I have 30 gallons of gas. I'm a diehard."

Even the politicians called a time out; Mitt Romney canceling a number of events, the president canceling everything to go back to Washington and be president for awhile, prompting the one snarky remark I was able to find.

"You'll notice he's canceling his trips over the hurricane. He did not cancel his trips over Benghazi."

The vocal stylings of Newt Gingrich, ladies and gentlemen!

But other than that, nothing. Not even a claim of divine retribution even though the storm is headed for a cluster of blue states. Not yet anyway.

When there's a giant storm, no one's thinking politics or October Surprise; I know it's tempting to think the storm itself is an October Surprise, but it's actually preventing any October surprise; no one cares what Donald Trump or Gloria Allred have to say.

This campaign is officially over. We'll have two days of storm coverage, then cleanup coverage, a lot of people have already voted; so it's all over but the ads. The news has moved on. No one's in the mood for debates over drowning government in a bathtub when nature is trying to drown us all.

There is hope! People are figuring out the real Obama
Even a black professor from Columbia (wait! Didn’t Obama go there). This is the Obama legacy nicely summed up. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/07/15/what-has-obama-cost-blacks-a-columbia-professor-asks-hard-questions.html

Will you post every day about how immediately wonderful life has become with your personally preferred "dear leader" in the White House?
Chuck do you deny that the economy before Obama and before the Reed Pelosi Liberal takeover of Congress was better? Considerably better?

"Do I deny that the economy was *better* before Obama took over?"

    Huh? Seriously, huh?

The primary reason Obama became president at all is because of the economic meltdown that virtually all economists agree began in 2007. Hey, to the microscopic degree that the POTUS controls the economy something (Obama's presidency) really is "Bush's fault" isn't it?

Fall of 2008, just prior to the election, the economy was shedding 750,000 jobs per month. Fall of 2012, just prior to the election, employment is growing at maybe 100,000 to 150,000 jobs per month. Don't know how you do math down at the firehouse, but that looks to me like about a 900,000 per month job turn around rate in the last four years. So how was the economy "better" before Obama took office than it is now?

You can't ignore that recession started under Bush... you love to try and pin all of it on Obama but you can't..
True but what party was in control of Congress in oh 7? Up to then Republicans controlled both houses. Only when the Liberals took Congress did this recession begin.

    If only
We could go back to Florida and Gore/Bush. A few hundred more votes for Gore and he could have stopped man-made global warming which is causing these massive storms, pre-empting Obama from even trying to stop the rise of the Oceans and healing the planet. Lesbian seagulls would be living in harmony and free Obama phones for all.

How about some transparancy about 4 Americans being killed while the Obama whitehouse dithers and then lies to the American people. How about a coverup that looks to dwarf watergate? Nah...not even covered by the leftist media who have become complicit to the murders in Benghazi.

Well, consider that the actual embassy is in Tripoli...it appears the reason the ambassador was in Benghazi on 9/11 is because he was working an arms deal. Does that sound like the crap the left goes on about Reagan on? Apparently Obama was funneling arms to Syrian rebals through Turkey. But hey, go ahead and trust the untrustworthy obama who is stonewalling on his crimes. But that is all about Obama...I have no idea what Trump is on about.

Just curious...is the leftist media you read have you been reading about what is being uncovered about the Obama crimes in libya?

Yea! I guess that Bush feels respocible for not forcing
Mayor School Bus Nagin to request Fema days earlier and failing to move in those buses that were sitting idly by for days afterward.

Of course Liberal still swear up and down that Bush steered the storm toward that town and that he and Cheney blew up the dikes and damns themselves!
