TCTI: Too Crazy Too Ignore

In this photo released by the White House, President Barack Obama shoots clay targets on the range at Camp David, Md., Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012. The White House released a photo of Obama firing a gun, two days before he heads to Minnesota to discuss gun control. In a recent interview with The New Republic magazine, Obama said yes when asked if he has ever fired a gun. He said "we do skeet shooting all the time," except for his daughters, at Camp David. Well it turns out the release of that snapshot of the President skeet shooting at Camp David still has not satisfied the Skeeters - and some websites are even implying the picture is a fake because other shots of the president that same day show him wearing different clothes.

What he needs to do is what CNN's Piers Morgan did. Piers went down to a Texas gun range, picked up an AR-15 and after about a sixty-second lesson from an instructor he was firing at a rate of about 200 rounds a minute.

That's a legal weapon you could buy this afternoon at Walmart. And with the number of home owners buying them now, I have to think that crime will disappear probably by this weekend. I know criminals are stupid, but how profoundly stupid would you have to be to go up against a homeowner with one of these?

Although as his instructor explained, it's not just about protection from criminals.

"The military and the United Nations are going to come in and take our guns," said the instructor.

"Do you think the American military would attack its own people?" asked Piers.

"If it's forced to - I don't know. I hope not. I hope that would not happen, but I would think at least 40 or 50 percent would," the instructor replied.

Americans need weapons powerful enough to kill U.S. soldiers if need be.

Which is why the skeet picture has done nothing for the President's gun cred. Skeet shooting is about bird hunting. To get REAL gun cred, the President would have to squeeze off 200-round bursts from his AR-15 and then explain he's just getting prepared in case the Secret Service turns on him.

I don't think the photo is staged
I think there's too many folks that are too paranoid but i am very concerned with the gun debate... the nation and public opinion on this is based on fear, misinformation, and honestly lack of education... people fear what they don't know or understand... and most of the people driving this debate are people that don't know anything about firearms never handled them, probably grew up in areas that don't allow them to shoot... that's a problem where i live, you can't shoot anywhere anymore. that's another topic though... bottom line is, ignorant people fear stuff they don't understand and that's driving this debate...

Of course it is staged. A real pic, but set up just for the pic.
We have never heard of him shooting skeet before. Did he do it a lot last year? When? He was always playing golf. How did he find the time? I am not saying the picture is fake! I am saying the picture was more important than the activity. He may have even been shooting at clay pigeons (I still say rather low, but have been shown that it happens). But it is the whole propaganda of the thing that bugs me. It is just like AF1 flying over NY early in his first term. All a show.

we never heard a lot of things....
about the President... I don't know what his favorite style of watch is... nor do i know whether or not he plays Cards or bowls or whatever with his spare time... if he came out and said he did any of those things tomorrow would you question it? probably... that's my point... there's too many conspiracy theorists running around you're making everybody who has a problem with specific policies the president is promoting sound like a conspiracy theory whackjob, i agree with some of what the president believes but i'm dead set against the gun control legislation he's proposing... be reasonable it's a much more practical and honest way of having a true conversation in this country... jumping to far out conclusions does nothing for your cause.

How about Queen Hillary? When the Rep's start their primary consisting of or lasting for four years. Then they slowly get into is associated quadrennial circle shoot that is the their debates, Obama could loan them that Citori to help out. We could get Ha Ha to pick winners, Dick Morrisey to coordinate advertising poll numbers releases on FOX and Rove could coordinate robo calling in Ohio.

    What could go wrong?

    Here, Forrest. I'll dumb it down, just for you;
Manipulation of information to influence public opinion. The term comes from Congregatio de Propaganda Fide (Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith), a missionary organization established by the pope in 1622. Propagandists emphasize the elements of information that support their position and deemphasize or exclude those that do not. Misleading statements and even lies may be used to create the desired effect in the public audience. Lobbying, advertising, and missionary activity are all forms of propaganda, but the term is most commonly used in the political arena. Prior to the 20th century, pictures and the written media were the principal instruments of propaganda; radio, television, motion pictures, and the Internet later joined their ranks. Authoritarian and totalitarian regimes use propaganda to win and keep the support of the populace. In wartime, propaganda directed by a country at its own civilian population and military forces can boost morale; propaganda aimed at the enemy is an element of psychological warfare. Notice where is says: "Authoritarian and totalitarian regimes use propaganda to win and keep the support of the populace..." LIke I said; no one would flinch. Comrade Owebama is no different from the other noted regimes and the fact that this is so wideley "accepted" by the left, shows how far down our country has fallen.

can never obtain "gun cred". Just as he will never be able to throw a ball like a man. In the picture he certainly is "clinging" to the "gun" though. Browning builds some magnificent shooting tools. Is it racist to say Browning and 0bama in the same paragraph?
