Katy Perry will do it in 12 and half minutes

Who faces the toughest challenge Sunday? Tom Brady? Russell Wilson?
Or could it be halftime star Katy Perry?
“I’m just here so I won’t get fined,” she joked to raucous laughter from the reporters Thursday.
Nooo danger of that.
She was on NFL.com answering every question – and talkin’ like an athlete.
“It’s just all about preparation, so it’s in my muscle memory,” she said.
Separation is in the preparation.
And she mentioned God, “This is God’s way, or the universe saying, we’re going to take it to the next level.”
There was even some smack talk.
“I believe faces will melt. The first chord rings and people are going to go, ‘WHAAAATT?!'”
And it turns out her nutritionist is Russell Wilson.
“We’ve been texting just this week. I’ve been saying, ‘What do you eat? What fuel do you put in your body to run so fast? And he says, ‘Cheeseburgers and pizzas.'”
Just as Russell studies the game films, Katy has studied the half time films.
This is what football does to America: It pushes everyone to the next level – like it or not. This week especially.
It has us all talking in fluent athlete. Every workday is 1-0, every office is 100 yards by 53 1/3, all of us are living in the present, we go out and execute, I see middle managers making plays on both side of the ball, and sticking to the game plan.
Which in Katy’s case means this, “If I can make over 100 million people smile all around the world …”
Making a hundred million people smile.
And she only has 12 and 1/2 minutes to do it.
But she promises – as amped up as she will be, “I will never self-sabotage that moment. I want it to be all about the music.”
There will be no grabbing in the end zone.
