Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump are getting all sorts of attention from well-known comedians, in part because of their accents. Maybe its time Hillary Clinton moves to Brooklyn to pick up a new accent of her own, KIRO Radio's Dave Ross says.

The presidential candidates were all over the news this weekend, saying various things about various issues. But I’ll be honest, I didn’t hear anything new.

I actually spent more time watching the parodies of the candidates, such as John DiDomenico impersonating Donald Trump:

“The good news is, me being on your show, your ratings are going to go through the roof,” DiDomenico says in his Trump-like voice.

Of course, Jimmy Fallon did his Trump impersonation:

“We build a giant wall and then set it on fire…”

Let’s see if that’s close to the real Trump.

“I will build a great, great wall and I will have Mexico pay for that wall,” Trump said.

But the breakout impersonator over the weekend had no contest. Larry David on Saturday Night Live doing his impersonation of Bernie Sanders.

“I think the American people are sick and tired about hearing about your damn emails,” David exclaimed.

It was pretty good. In fact, it was almost frightening.

And it occurs to me, this is what it’s really about. It’s about making history. The voters are telling us they’re finally ready to put a Brooklynite in the White House.

I know people think Bernie Sanders is from Vermont, but he’s the only guy up there who talks like that because he was born in Brooklyn. Trump was born in Queens, but he learned to talk in Brooklyn.

Brooklyn is contagious. I know people who come in from the suburbs go into Brooklyn to get a drink and by the time they come home, they’re talking like Art Carney.

People like the accent, they like the attitude. All I’m saying is, Hillary, it may be time to ditch the house in Chappaqua and find a nice apartment in Flatbush.

Ross: Are we killing car culture? Or is car culture killing the US?

I don’t think the question is whether we're going to "kill" our car culture. The real question is can we stop our car culture from killing the U.S.?
