Unbearably long hearing on Benghazi attacks fit for Final Jeopardy!

Hillary Clinton appeared before the House Benghazi committee Thursday and was presented with the Republican theory as to why more security wasn’t provided at the consulate where our ambassador and three others were killed three years ago.
“To admit a deteriorating situation didn’t fit your narrative of a successful foreign policy,” Republican Peter Roskam explained.
Or, as translated by Democratic committee member Adam Smith, “The effort here today seems to be that somehow you personally decided not to do your job in Libya.”

To which Clinton replied: “Of course I was ultimately responsible for security, I took responsibility for what happened in Benghazi.”
That’s what we learned. And we learned it over and over. Six hours passed.
“I’m just telling you … it doesn’t smell right,” Republican Representative Lynn Westmoreland announced.
That’s because everybody needs a shower. The hearing lasted eight hours and beyond.
“We’ve been here for nine-and-a-half hours,” Smith announced.
Ten hours turned into 10.5 hours, at which point Clinton has a coughing fit.
“[H]ow late are we going tonight?” Democrat Linda Sanchez asked.
Finally, 11 hours after it started, Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy announced they were adjourned. Nothing new about Benghazi. However, to be fair, the hearing did establish one thing.
“[Clinton’s] testimony now has gone on longer than all the other hearings that we have held, combined,” Democrat Rep. Ada Schiff said.
Remember that. It could be a Jeopardy! question someday.
