The Stranger is putting on a FREE party at the Showbox in the Market featuring Dan Savage and KEXP DJ Greg Vandy. It goes from 4:30pm to 11:30pm 21+, Free

Dancing, drinking, and happy gay couples getting engaged if R74 passes

Their election Night party starts at 5pm and is also FREE. Expect two rooms of booze and big screens with results in both rooms. Bonus points for those who come in political attire!

The Five Spot in Queen Anne will be mixing up red and blue cocktails all night and serving election inspired dishes, such as:

LAME DUCK CONFIT

A right of political passage from one administration to the next, this slow cooked duck hindquarter goes gracefully from the fire into the frying pan for searing. Sauced with a honey-red wine & cranberry reduction and served with mashed potatoes & sautéed kale. Quackalicious.

INITIATIVE 502 “HERB” SALAD

Left coast Washington considers spinach, arugula and all manner of legal herbs tossed with roasted golden beets & goat cheese tossed in edible lemony citronette. Stand up (or lie down) & be counted!

SUPER PAC’D PORK TREAT
Pork belly from an undisclosed corporate source is braised, seared and pac’d onto butter lettuce cups & served with a hush-hush on the QT apple fennel slaw. At the 5 Spot, “pork are people too”

Comedy & Theater

The Strawberry Theatre Workshop presents
ELECTIONATION! 2012 Election Night Bash at the Broadway Performance Hall. They’ll have half-price drinks during Happy Hour, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM and admission is free.

Hosts Alycia Delmore and Basil Harris will be closely tracking the race for the White House, the Washington gubernatorial race, and Referendum 74 via CNN and Fox News (for balance!), as well as live online coverage. Plus a giant, interactive map of the United States featuring dazzling red and blue lights! Political quizzes and board games!

The Comedy Underground presents “Election Night Comedy Show,” featuring UW professor Yoram Bauman, who bills himself as “the world’s first and only stand-up economist.” 8:30 p.m.

I didn’t forget about you, Tacoma!

The Mix bar in Tacoma’s Triangle District is throwing an Approve R74 party and celebrating the belief that that all loving couples, including gay and lesbian couples, deserve to marry the person they love. The Mix also approves of The Breaklites busting out some rhymes around 10 p.m. The Mix, 635 Saint Helens Ave., Tacoma.

Cupcake Royal: Tweet a picture of yourself voting with the hashtag #voteforcupcakes Tuesday and get a a free babyscoop or babycake from Cupcake Royale.

Blockbuster: Get a free movie & Game Rental from Blockbuster

Zipcar is cutting member rates in half on election day, part of a plan to mobilize voter to get to the polls. between 5am and 9pm in their “Zip to the Polls” promotion.

UBER: Car-service company Uber is offering free rides to the polls for new users on election day.

Participating Einstein Bros. Bagels locations are offering a free bagel with schmear to customers with an “I Voted” sticker.

Olive Garden customers with an “I Voted” sticker can get a free Dolcini dessert with the purchase of an entrée.
