John Curley gets a little weepy at his final Sammamish City Council meeting

Last night was John Curley's final city council meeting in Sammamish.

John learned the hard way that leading the pledge of allegiance to start the meeting can sometimes get him a little emotional. Yes, sometimes he can't help but have a little cry.

So to counteract any tears that might threaten his final words at the meeting Tuesday, he popped a couple pills often prescribed for breast cancer, to help prevent some unnecessary sobs.

It worked, for the most part, he only got a little choked up towards the end of his speech.
